Brooklyn Crab Bloody Mary
Spending some time in Red Hook is always fun. There are plenty of good bars and restaurants to try, especially if you’re a fan of seafood. During my last time out there, I had dinner over at the Brooklyn Crab. The overall aesthetic is pretty kitschy, but the views were great, the food was tasty and it had a Bloody Mary on the menu.
I would like to make one note about this place though: When I went for dinner, it was only two of us, so we ordered what was listed for 2 people… but when it arrived, the plate was gigantic and it was clearly enough for at least 3 people; 4 if you have appetizers.
Ok, now let’s talk about what we’re all here for: the Bloody Mary.
Key takeaways
This cocktail is served in a pint glass and the garnishes included a cocktail shrimp, bar olive, lemon and lime wedge, and it had an Old Bay salt rim. The cocktail shrimp was great, but the bar olive was not nice at all. It’s a house made mix and it had a strong shrimp flavor. There was another seafood flavor there, but it was hard to pinpoint. The general flavor was pretty balanced and was easy to drink.
I didn’t get the exact cost, but I do see that the Michelada on their menu is $12, so I’m assuming it was around there as well and rated it as such.

This Bloody was really pleasant and I’d definitely get another one if I’m eating there again!
