Bloody Mary, Review

Seamore’s Bloody Mary

During a recent stop in DUMBO, I swung into Seamore’s for a quick bite to eat with friends. While we were enjoying our oysters, we grabbed a couple drinks as well, which brings me to the point of this post: how was their Bloody Mary? As most people know, seafood restaurants tend to have pretty good ones, so let’s dig into how Seamore’s measured up.

I firmly believe that seafood restaurants have some of the best Bloody Marys. But let's see how Seamore's in DUMBO measured up.

Key Takeaways

The Seamore’s bloody is served in a standard highball glass. The garnishes are pretty minimal, with only a lime wedge and two bar olives. The bar olives had literally no flavor to them, so it was a little disappointing.

The flavor of the bloody itself wasn’t too wild. There is a slight clamato flavor to it, and it seems like they went heavy handed with bitters or something. I wasn’t super into the flavor of this one, to be honest. The texture of the drink was very smooth and it cost $13.

My rating: 5

Garnish – 5
Originality – 4
Spice/Flavor – 4
Presentation – 5
Texture – 6
Value – 8

Overall, this is a pretty standard bloody. But I expected a little more for a seafood restaurant. I wouldn’t go out of my way to get this one and if I went back to Seamore’s, I’d probably order something else to drink.
