The Chez Nick Bloody Mary
After walking through Carl Schurz park on morning, I decided to swing into Chez Nick for brunch and obviously had to give the Bloody Mary a whirl. Chez Nick cites themselves as a New American neighborhood restaurant, which is located in the Upper East Side. The brunch food here was pretty good, but not something I’d write home about. But let’s discuss the Bloody.
Key Takeways
This Bloody Mary is served in a highball glass with two standard bar olives as the garnish. At the first sip, the nice spicy, black peppery flavor came through. While the presentation didn’t wow me, the flavor was pretty well balanced. There is a slight chunkiness to the texture of this drink, but it’s not off putting except for the occasional lemon seed chunk which was very bitter. The cost of this Bloody is $12, which is pretty standard for the area.

Overall, I would say this is a fine Bloody, but it’s not one I’d go out of my way to order again.
